How to set or change default search engine

Solution:

Internet Explorer

  1. Open the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser
  2. Click the arrow (search) Internet Explorer search icon to the right of the search box or search icon.
  3. Click Manage Search Providers
  4. Choose your new default search engine, click Set as default, and then Close

Google Chrome

  1. Open the Chrome browser
  2. Select Customize and control Google Chrome Customize and control Google Chrome (3 dots) button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings from the drop-down menu that appears.
  4. In the new tab that opens, under Settings, locate the Search section
  5. Choose a discovered search engine by selecting the arrow next to the box or you may add a new search engine by selecting Manage search engines…

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open the Mozilla Firefox browser.
  2. Click on the Open menu icon in the upper right-hand corner, and then select Help or click the Help (?) icon
  3. Select the Troubleshooting Information option.
  4. On the Troubleshooting Information page, on the right side, click the Refresh Firefox… button
  5. In the Refresh Firefox pop-up window, click the Refresh Firefox button to confirm you want to restore Firefox to its default settings.
